About Christian Hannett
With the cost of a transplant often exceeding $500,000, many transplant families are unable to shoulder the financial burden of such a procedure. The Children’s Organ Transplant Association (COTA) is a national charity dedicated to organizing and guiding communities in raising funds for transplant-needy patients. In Naples, volunteers are raising funds for transplant patients like local boy, Christian Hannett.
Christian is the son of Christopher and Tiffany Hannett. Born on September 08, 2006, Christian was diagnosed with Metachromatic Leukodystrophy. The doctors at Duke University Medical Center in Durham, North Carolina, performed a life-saving bone marrow transplant. An estimated $150,000 is being raised by Fort Myers and Naples volunteers.
